1.  Why donate through Pick Your Charity?

A:  Our streamlined approach to the car donation process allows PYC to keep costs to an absolute minimum, which allows its member charities the greatest possible benefit.

2 What can I donate?

A:  We accept most vehicles including but not limited to cars, trucks, trailers, and RV's.

3 My car doesn't run. Can I still donate it?

A:  Yes, we are able to accept most vehicles running or not.  Your car, no matter what condition, will still be able to generate much needed support towards your favorite charity.   Please complete and submit our online donation form.

4 What do I need for the donating process?

A:  We would like the title to the vehicle, but if you do not have it please call us anyway.  It is possible that other arrangements may be made.  Please call us toll-free at 1-866-574-8397 seven days a week.

5.   How can I contact you to schedule a pick up?

A:  Please complete and submit our online donation form, call us toll-free seven days a week at 1-866-574-8397, or use our Live Chat.

6.  How will my vehicle be picked up?

A:  We will make arrangements to conveniently and quickly pick up your donation AT NO COST TO YOU.  In addition we will handle the title transfer requirements as well as providing you with your tax donation receipt.

7.  How long will it take for my vehicle to be picked up?

A:  We will arrange for a towing company to contact you via telephone within 24 hours.  If you need your car picked up sooner, please click on the Express Donation and we will be able to accommodate rush orders as well.

8.  Is my donation tax deductible?

A:  Yes, vehicle and vessel donations made to bona fide charitable organizations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.  We have verified that all charities listed within this site are classified with the IRS as non-profit charitable organizations.  However, individual tax situations vary so please check with a tax professional to determine what if any tax benefit you may receive from a tax deductible donation.

9.  How does my tax deduction work?

A:  The IRS allows you, the taxpayer, to claim a tax deduction of (a) the value of your vehicle up to $500 or (b) if we sell the vehicle for more than $500 we will mail you a postcard with that value for your tax purposes.
